By accessing or using Resumebara ("Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

Our AI features are powered by Anthropic's Claude API — one of the leading AI systems available today. By using our Service, you acknowledge that your resume content and related inputs are sent to Anthropic for processing. Anthropic handles this data according to their own Privacy Policy, which we encourage you to review.
Important: When you use any AI feature on Resumebara (analysis, content improvement, cover letter generation), your resume text and job descriptions are transmitted to Anthropic's servers for processing. We do not control Anthropic's data handling practices and are not responsible for how Anthropic processes, stores, or uses that data. Do not include information in your resume you are not comfortable sharing with a third-party AI provider.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately and we may delete your account data.

Prices are subject to change. We will notify you of any price changes before they take effect.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use that payment method.
Monthly subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You will be charged the then-current subscription fee on your renewal date.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS. Due to the digital and immediate nature of our Service, all purchases are non-refundable. This includes monthly subscriptions — cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current billing period.
If you have a billing error (duplicate charge, unauthorized charge), contact us at support@resumebara.com and we will investigate.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.
You retain all rights to content you upload or create using our Service (resumes, cover letters, personal information). By using our Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and store your content solely to provide the Service to you.
We store minimal data. Specifically, we store:
We do not store detailed resume text, work history, or personal information in our database beyond what is necessary to generate and save your PDF documents.
Resume content entered into our forms is temporarily processed in memory to generate your documents. Cover letter and resume builder content is cleared from your browser when you leave those pages — it is not permanently stored unless you explicitly save a document.
When you use AI features, your resume text and inputs are sent to Anthropic (Claude API) for processing. This transmission is necessary for the Service to function. We are not responsible for Anthropic's handling of that data. Anthropic has stated they do not use API customer data to train their models — see Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
You agree not to upload content that is false, fraudulent, illegal, or that infringes on third-party rights.

All content, features, and functionality of the Service (excluding your user-generated content) are owned by Resumebara and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The Resumebara name, logo, and branding may not be used without our prior written permission.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
We do not guarantee that using our Service will result in job interviews, job offers, or employment. Resume quality is one of many factors in a job search, most of which are outside our control.
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, LOSSES, OR HARMS ARISING FROM THE PROCESSING OF YOUR DATA BY ANTHROPIC OR ANY OTHER THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDER. YOUR USE OF AI FEATURES CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THE APPLICABLE THIRD-PARTY TERMS AND PRIVACY POLICIES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RESUMEBARA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 3 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $25.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Resumebara and its operators, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us at support@resumebara.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Any unresolved disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in California. You waive your right to a jury trial.
You agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis only — not as part of any class or collective action.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
